About Me
Karen Sudom speaks to the beauty and challenges of Autism from experience as both she and two of her three children have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Karen co-facilitates a weekly group for preteens and teens with mainstreamed Autism called ASDreams. She tailors workshops for educators in all sectors. A favourite recent presentation was to a grade eight class in the same classroom as her favourite teacher, Mr. Middleton, taught her grade eight. She shares with parent groups, churches, mental health agencies and other services providers to increase understanding not only about Autism, but also about what it is like to be Autistic. A community collaborator, Karen is also an avid collector of books.
